What types of disks are used in the storage servers? expand_more

We use enterprise-grade HDD SATA and SAS drives (12TB, 18TB and 24TB) for massive storage. Additionally, all servers include NVMe SSD cache to accelerate the most frequent read and write operations.

Can I choose the file system or storage software? expand_more

Yes. Our servers are compatible with TrueNAS/ZFS, Ceph, MinIO (S3), NFS/SMB and any other storage solution you need. We can pre-install and configure the software of your choice.

What RAID level is configured by default? expand_more

The servers include a hardware RAID controller with BBU (Battery Backup Unit). You can choose between RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID 10 or RAID 60 depending on your performance and redundancy needs. You can also use ZFS software RAID if you prefer.

Can I customize the server configuration? expand_more

Yes. In addition to the pre-defined configurations, we can build custom storage servers: disk type and capacity, processor, RAM, NVMe cache and network connectivity. Contact sales for custom configurations up to 2+ Petabytes.

What network connectivity do the storage servers offer? expand_more

All storage servers include a Dual 25 Gbps network card with unmetered traffic. We also offer dedicated private networking for replication between servers and private VLAN available.

How long does it take to provision a storage server? expand_more

Pre-defined catalog configurations are deployed in 24-48 hours with the operating system and storage software pre-installed. Custom or petabyte-scale configurations may require 5-10 business days depending on hardware availability.
