After five years without raising our prices, EasyDataHost is announcing the first rate update for our offsite backup service powered by Veeam Cloud Connect. Since January 2026, we are unifying the price of every protected workload — virtual machines, workstations, physical servers and hyperscaler instances — into a single rate of €6.50 per unit per month.
The update comes with two pieces of good news for our customers: we are completely removing the monthly per-company maintenance fee and keeping the per-TB cost of the storage solution unchanged, pending the evolution of the RAM and NVMe storage market in the sector.
In this article we explain exactly what changes, why we are doing it now and when the new rate applies depending on whether you are a new or an existing customer.
Five Years Without Touching Our Prices
For the last five years we have kept our rates frozen while the industry context changed dramatically: accumulated inflation, rising energy costs to power and cool datacenters, sustained hardware price increases — especially memory and flash storage — and licensing changes from the main software vendors.
Throughout that whole period our decision was to absorb those cost increases without passing them on to the customer. We believe that stability has been part of the value of working with us: predictable budgets year after year, with no surprises on the invoice.
This first revision allows us to keep guaranteeing what defines our Veeam Cloud Connect offsite backup service: our own infrastructure in Spain, 24/7 technical support, ISO 27001 certification and ENS compliance, and a platform sized to restore when it really matters.
Unified Rate: €6.50 per Unit for Every Workload
Until now, each workload type protected with Veeam Cloud Connect had a different rate depending on whether it was a virtual machine, a workstation, a physical server or a hyperscaler instance. That model, inherited from traditional licensing, complicated budgeting and forced units to be reclassified every time the customer's infrastructure evolved.
From now on the model is much simpler: a single rate of €6.50 per unit per month, whatever the workload type:
| Item | New 2026 rate |
|---|---|
| Virtual machine (VM) | €6.50/unit/month |
| Workstation (PC) | €6.50/unit/month |
| Physical server | €6.50/unit/month |
| Hyperscaler instance (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) | €6.50/unit/month |
| Monthly per-company maintenance fee | Removed |
| Storage (per-TB cost) | Unchanged |
Unification brings immediate practical benefits. The first is predictability: estimating the cost of protecting your infrastructure comes down to counting units, with no per-type price matrix. The second is flexibility: if you migrate a physical server to a VM, or move workloads to a hyperscaler, your per-unit backup cost does not change. You can work out your specific case with our Veeam backup calculator.
We Are Removing the Maintenance Fee
Alongside the rate unification, the monthly per-company maintenance fee disappears. This fixed charge, which until now was added to every customer's invoice regardless of size, is removed entirely.
For many SMEs with few protected workloads, removing this fee offsets a significant part of the rate update — and in the smallest cases it can even mean a lower total bill than today. The billing structure is reduced to two clear items: protected units and stored TB.
Simpler billing:
From now on your backup invoice has just two lines: protected units × €6.50 + stored TB × current per-TB price. No fixed fees, no extra items.
The Per-TB Storage Price Does Not Change
The per-TB cost of our storage solution remains unchanged. This is a deliberate decision: the RAM and NVMe storage market is going through a period of high volatility — with AI-driven demand pushing NAND flash and DRAM prices — and we prefer to wait for the sector to stabilise before touching this component of the rate.
If the evolution of the storage market allows it, our commitment is to keep the per-TB price where it is or improve it. In the meantime, we keep operating our S3 storage platform and backup repositories with the same capacity/price ratio as today.
Rollout Timeline
The new rate applies in stages, giving those who already trust us the maximum planning margin:
- check_circle New customers: the unified €6.50/unit rate is in force with immediate effect, applying to all new sign-ups since January 2026.
- check_circle Existing customers: keep their current terms until June. The unified rate will apply from June 2026, leaving several months to plan budgets.
- check_circle Maintenance fee: removed for all customers, with no action required on your side.
- check_circle No operational changes: nothing needs to be reconfigured. Backup jobs, repositories and retention policies keep working exactly as before.
Existing customers will also receive individual communication detailing their new billing before the change takes effect. If you manage your own licences, remember we also offer Veeam licenses with local support.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the new Veeam Cloud Connect price?
€6.50 per unit per month, the same for VMs, PCs, physical servers and hyperscaler instances. No maintenance fee, and the per-TB storage price stays unchanged.
I am a current customer — when does it affect me?
From June 2026. Until then you keep your current terms, and the removal of the maintenance fee applies to all customers.
Will the storage price go up too?
No. The per-TB cost remains as it is, pending the evolution of the RAM and NVMe market in the sector. If the market allows it, our goal is to keep it or improve it.
